LEPIN 02039 - Red Cargo Train (Lego 3677)

This set is enjoyable with the extra moving parts of the train set. It has a trailers and also cargo and a brick carrier i would call it. Theres also an unloader which you can unload small brinks into the carrier. In term of the motor it is the same variable speed as the 02010 train set.

The train set works ok overall, some parts of the lower train didnt fit though, this is due to the bottom piece was built properly.

But overall its a good piece, and the train can be played for quite some time with the small batt pack.

It does come with variable speed controller and ir receiver. The train have 7 speeds and can move both front and back as shown in video below. The ir receiver different than those non variable ones though.

LEPIN 20011 4x4 Crawler Exclusive Edition @ Lego 41999

This is one very nice set, i must say. Mine was ordered via taobao, I paid including shipping to Malaysia for about RMB450 (USD66/ RM285). Overall built impressive, though it is pretty slow. I have made a few mods, reversing the gears for higher speed ratios and also used 2 battery packs for more power. Simple gear change instructions and video at link http://atomcurve.com/1FhB .

With the gear change however, it would be hard to overcome slopes and obstactles, but it runs faster. So for those of you who plans to crawl over obstacles the original setup would be good.

This set took me 2 weekends to finish the first time because i was playing with it before finishing it lol.

After playing with it for a while i did break the servo... sob. Anyway i've gotten replacements again from taobao via ezbuy https://ezbuy.my/product/116955041805522.html costs RM42.18 which is about 10USD. You can find Lego ones or china made ones from tabao.

LEPIN 20007 Excavator @ Lego 8043

My first LEPIN, i bought it at our local wholesale center (GM Klang), it was retailing for RM299 which is about USD69.

On first look packaging was nice everything inside looks good when unboxed. However at the end of my first build there was a pin missing and 1 of the actuator was faulty.

However it still worked but not perfectly. This excavator has problems switching between drive and the arm movements. I felt that is was slightly under powered. I did some research and found on Lego forums that the original 8043 too had similar problems with lack of power, Some actually upgraded it with dual powerpacks. 

The A version took me 3 nights after work to build and B version took me 2 nights.
